ABOUT

The purpose of Meals on Wheels California (MOWCA) is to serve as the principal advocate and leadership organization for senior food service providers in the state of California. MOWCA strives to provide the highest quality representation, education and training, and services to all its members, and to enhance their professionalism and the performance of the organizations they represent.

 

TOO MANY SENIORS IN CALIFORNIA ARE STRUGGLING
TO STAY INDEPENDENT AND HEALTHY

SENIOR HUNGER IN CALIFORNIA

1.43 million are isolated, living alone.   
Over 1 million are threatened by hunger.
1.97 million are living in or near poverty.





MEMBERSHIP

Organizational Membership is open to nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies in California engaged directly in the provision of meals and/or nutrition services predominantly to the senior population. Each member organization may name an individual who is the primary contact to receive all communications/emails and have voting rights.

The mission of Meals on Wheels California is to increase the capacity of nonprofit and government agencies to provide comprehensive nutrition programs through outreach, education and the implementation of best practices.
