ABOUT THE LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE SUNSET

IS THE LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE PROGRAM ACCEPTING ENROLLEES?

The Meals on Wheels Leadership Academy Certificate Program has been an important part of Education and Training at Meals on Wheels America for many years, providing training to hundreds of senior nutrition leaders. In recent years, however, the program has experienced significant enrollment declines. For this reason, we decided to phase out the Leadership Academy Certificate Program in April 2018.

CAN I COMPLETE MY CERTIFICATE IF I ENROLLED BEFORE APRIL 2018?

While we'll no longer be accepting new enrollments to the Leadership Academy Certificate Program, we are committed to supporting all current enrollees. As such, we've identified a sunset date of December 31, 2020 to give you enough time to complete you current certificate. We've also eliminated the requirement to attain a credit in each of the 7 competencies. Instead, enrollees now simply need to complete 14 credits – in any of the learning tracks – to receive your certificate. To check in on the status of your Leadership Certificate, simply contact Sammi Heffron at sammi@mealsonwheelsamerica.org
