Together, We Can Deliver® isn’t just a catchy tagline. Through and through, Meals on Wheels America and its network of local senior nutrition programs are able to do more as one, unified Meals on Wheels movement. That’s why year after year, 9 out of 10 Meals on Wheels America Member programs renew their Membership. It provides every person on your staff and Board of Directors full access to the wide range of services and information designed specifically to help you to better serve the seniors in your community.

Meals on Wheels America Membership is open to non-profit organizations, governmental agencies and tribal organizations engaged directly in the provision of meals and/or nutrition services to seniors. The annual organization Membership dues range from $250 to $1,200 based on program size. Read on to learn more!

No one covers the full spectrum of what it takes to run successful, thriving Meals on Wheels programs the way we do! Every August, we bring together experts in the field to lead interactive sessions packed with new ideas, innovative approaches and practical tools. Our 2024 Conference will be held at Baltimore Marriott Waterfront on August 12-15, 2024.

THE VALUE OF MEMBERSHIP

INCREASE YOUR RESOURCES AND REDUCE EXPENSES

  • Member-Only Funding – Through the Go Further Fund and national partnerships, we provide much-needed funding for Meals on Wheels programs to expand capacity, fill funding gaps and feed more seniors. We also work with partners to provide revenue share opportunities for participating Members. In 2023, we distributed more than $6.9 million in grants funding and revenue.

  • Federal and Grassroots Advocacy Efforts – Not only do we fight for your programs on Capitol Hill, but we also equip Members with the tools you need to advocate for more adequate funding at all levels of government. Members benefit from frequent “Washington Update” emails, our Advocacy Center full of tools for engaging with your elected officials and our national and grassroots advocacy campaigns, such as our annual March for Meals.

  • National Volunteer Recruitment Efforts – The “America, Let’s Do Lunch™” PSA campaign put Meals on Wheels in the national spotlight, recruiting a whole new generation of volunteers to support your programs and your seniors.
  • MORE Program – Our MORE (Member Offers, Rewards, and Expertise) Program drove more than $5 million in savings for Members in 2023 alone, thanks to nationally negotiated partnerships with vendors who provide products and services core to meeting your mission.

BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER

  • National Research – Members can be a part of making the case for increased federal, state and local support, as well as capturing best practices, piloting innovative approaches and participating in various research initiatives. Every year we produce fact sheets, reports and Member research for your use in making the case for Meals on Wheels in your community.

  • National Branding – Members have the ability to make the national award-winning Meals on Wheels brand their very own and showcase their affiliation with this powerful movement through assets like the Member Badge and access to branded materials in the Member Store. We’ve even created the tools and support to help you through the rebranding process through our Brand Resource Center.

  • Learning @ Meals on Wheels America – Our learning opportunities and events include traditional formats such as in-person sessions and intensive workshops at the Meals on Wheels Annual Conference, to live and on-demand webinars, and more. No one covers training for the full spectrum of what it takes to run successful, thriving Meals on Wheels programs the way we do.
  • Information to Keep Members Current – We work diligently to keep Members informed of industry insights, innovative practices, legislative developments and national initiatives so that they can stay focused on running their programs. 
  • Peer-to-Peer Networking – We know there’s tremendous value to be learned from peers who are dealing with similar issues across the country. That’s why we have Meals on Wheels Connect – an online Member-only platform designed to bring the network together in a way that's focused, valuable and all your own.

The current Meals on Wheels America annual dues structure contains tiered levels based on program size as defined by senior nutrition operating budget. The tiers are as follows:
