2019 CALL FOR MEMBER PRESENTERS
The 2019 Meals on Wheels Annual Conference and Expo is being designed to allow senior nutrition professionals to grow, connect and lead the Meals on Wheels movement into the future. To enhance our 2019 session content, we are now seeking Members who can share their hands-on experience, skills and knowledge in the specified areas below.
Presenting at Conference provides a great way to showcase your program, collaborate with peers, enhance your career, gain speaking experience and broaden your network. Better yet, all Members who are selected to contribute will receive $100 off the cost of their full Conference Registration.
AREAS OF INTEREST BY LEARNING TRACK
HEALTHCARE
Seeking Members with:
- Successful partnerships with healthcare entities
- Medicare Advantage experience
- Compliant data security, collection and storage practices
- Medicaid and Managed Long Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) experience
SERVICE OFFERINGS
Seeking Members with:
- Success in combating malnutrition
- Delivery of successful fall prevention strategies
- Use of in-home assessment for safety checks
- Established care coordination services
- Experience in social isolation screening
- Effective programming that assesses and addresses elder abuse and neglect
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Seeking Members with:
- Experience in assisting clients with voter registration and/or transportation to polling places
- Experience in building strong relationships with elected officials and successfully advocating for policy change
LEADERSHIP
Seeking Members with:
- Replicable emergency preparedness policies, procedures and best practices
- A successful organizational wellness program and/or philosophy
- Positive outcomes resulting from the Meals on Wheels America Member Discount Program
DEVELOPMENT
Seeking Members with:
- Success in securing community resources to expand and/or enhance facilities
- Success in growing annual giving campaigns

If you’re interested in presenting on one (or more) of the topics above, please fill out our brief online interest form. At this time, we are only looking for presenters to speak on the topics outlined above. Members must submit their online interest form to be considered. Selected presenters will be notified by early May.

When submitting the interest form, first select the respective Learning Track (Healthcare, Service Offerings, Community Engagement, Leadership or Development) and then select the specific topic of interest on the next page. Please note that the interest form will only allow you to submit for one topic of interest at a time.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Presenter Agreement: If you are selected to present, you are required to register for the Conference and pay the 2019 Full Registration fee. Meals on Wheels America is offering all Member participants who are selected to present a $100 discount on the full 2019 Conference registration. To receive this discount (or receive a refund if you already registered at the full Member rate), you will need call 571-339-1609 to register over the phone. Member presenters are also responsible for making their own travel and hotel arrangements and for other Conference related expenses.
Eligibility: To present at the Meals on Wheels Annual Conference and receive the discounted rate, you program must be an active, dues-paying Member of Meals on Wheels America. If you are uncertain of your Membership status, contact membership@mealsonwheelsamerica.org.
Submission Policy: Each submission will be evaluated based on its relevance and ability to address session objectives, ensuring comprehensive and diverse content that represents the breadth of the network. While not all submissions will selected for this year’s Conference, we are always looking for great session ideas and dynamic presenters.
