On Monday, May 4, 2015, Meals on Wheels America joined more than 60 national organizations to send a national sign-on letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV). The letter urges both leaders to move S.192, the bipartisan Older Americans Act Reauthorization Act of 2015, to the Senate floor for passage. This bill, originally sponsored by Senators Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Patty Murray (D-WA), Richard Burr (R-NC) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT), would ensure the important continuity of Older Americans Act (OAA) programs and services for the next three years.
