ADMINISTRATION FOR COMMUNITY LIVING AWARDS MEALS ON WHEELS AMERICA GRANT TO CONTINUE OPERATION OF NATIONAL RESOURCE CENTER ON NUTRITION AND AGING

Oct 02, 2017

Arlington, VA, October 2, 2017 – Meals on Wheels America has once again been awarded a grant from the Administration on Aging (AoA), a program division within the Administration for Community Living (ACL), to continue funding the National Resource Center on Nutrition and Aging (NRCNA) for the next three years.

This is the third consecutive cycle in which the ACL has renewed this cooperative agreement with Meals on Wheels America to host the online resource designed to assist the national aging network in the implementation of the nutrition portions of the Older Americans Act.

“It is truly an honor to extend this important work with ACL/AoA,” said Ellie Hollander, President and CEO of Meals on Wheels America. “As the senior population rapidly grows, and with it, the need and demand for aging services, it is vital that we build the capacity of the network through evidence-based resources, trainings, information and knowledge exchange.”

To access tools and resources that cover best practices and emerging trends in the fields of nutrition, aging, healthcare integration, innovative program practices and more, visit the NRCNA at www.nutritionandaging.org.
