Aging can be lonely.

Millions of seniors are homebound. So much of their time is spent alone and waiting for moments of connection. For many, seeing the Meals on Wheels volunteer is the only human contact they have all day.

Our goal is to bring attention to America’s aging population and spark nationwide support and empathy. That’s why Meals on Wheels America launched the #RespectYourElders campaign. From everyday people to celebrities, we’re asking everyone to honor the seniors in their lives and share their support on social media using #RespectYourElders.

Ways you can participate.

There are many ways to join this movement. Post on social media using #RespectYourElders. Ask a loved one to coffee, or host a game night. You can even send a card to be delivered with a senior’s meal. Every effort counts!
