Jen Allen

Vice President, Marketing and Communications

As Vice President, Marketing and Communications, Jen is responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of all organizational marketing and communications initiatives including multiplatform engagement, strategic communications, creative campaigns and content, and brand management and stewardship. She works with a collaborative team and the Meals on Wheels network to build marketing and communications strategies that help the organization realize its vision to End the Wait™ so that all seniors who need Meals on Wheels get it.

Prior to joining Meals on Wheels America in October 2024, Jen worked as Senior Director, Strategic Marketing at March of Dimes, the leading maternal and infant health nonprofit. The strategic marketing team served as thought partners to market, mission, Office of Government Affairs, research and revenue executive leaders and teams to translate strategic vision into concrete execution across the entire marketing and communications team and agency partners. Jen’s team created integrated marketing and branding strategies for the organization’s highest-profile campaigns to drive awareness and action around the maternal and infant health crisis, including March for Babies and the release of the Annual Report Card on the state of maternal and infant health, and launched the Low Dose, Big Benefits™ public awareness campaign to drive greater awareness of low-dose aspirin as a means to mitigate the risk of preeclampsia in pregnant people.

Before March of Dimes, Jen built and led high-performing and collaborative multiplatform marketing teams at NBC Sports Washington, PBS and BBC America. In these roles, Jen, a three-time Daytime Emmy® Award recipient, drove awareness and consumption of industry-leading content events such as “Downton Abbey” on Masterpiece, the Ken Burns films “Country Music” and “The Vietnam War,” and the original U.K. series “The Office,” as well as NBA, NHL and NFL live games.

Jen started her career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and graduated cum laude with high honors with a bachelor’s degree in government and Spanish from the College of William and Mary. She lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband and teenage sons.
