Together, we can improve the quality of life for seniors across the country.

MEALS ON WHEELS AMERICA MEMBERSHIP

Together, We Can Deliver™
isn’t just a catchy tagline. Through and through, Meals on Wheels America and its network of local senior nutrition programs are able to do more as one, unified Meals on Wheels movement. That’s why year after year, 9 out of 10 Meals on Wheels America Member programs renew their Membership. It provides every person on your staff and Board of Directors full access to the wide range of services and information designed specifically to help you to better serve the seniors in your community.

Meals on Wheels America Membership is open to non-profit organizations, governmental agencies and tribal organizations engaged directly in the provision of meals and/or nutrition services to seniors.

THE VALUE OF MEMBERSHIP

INCREASE YOUR RESOURCES AND REDUCE EXPENSES

  • Member-Only Funding – We continue to build national partnerships that provide much-needed funding for Meals on Wheels programs. In 2017, we distributed more than $4.2 million to help our Members expand capacity, fill funding gaps and feed more seniors. That’s on average $18 back for every $1 spent on dues.

  • Federal and Grassroots Advocacy Efforts – Not only do we fight for your programs on Capitol Hill, we equip Members with the tools you need to advocate for more adequate funding at all levels of government. Members benefit from frequent “Washington Update” emails, our newly improved Member Advocacy Center and our national advocacy campaigns.

  • National Volunteer Recruitment Efforts – The “America, Let’s Do Lunch™” PSA campaign puts Meals on Wheels in the national spotlight, recruiting a whole new generation of volunteers to support your programs and your seniors. We have all of the tools needed in our online Campaign Hub and Ad Council Readiness Center to make the most of the media exposure in your local community.
  • Member Discount Program – We’ve leveraged the buying power of the entire Meals on Wheels network to deliver huge savings on the products and services you use most. Our latest partnership with Valley, Inc. enables Members to expand meal capacity, choice offerings and geographic reach through cost-effective meal purchasing and client-direct drop shipments.

BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER

  • National Campaigns – Members can leverage our turnkey community engagement campaigns – such as our annual March for Meals – to raise awareness and much-needed funding in their own communities.

  • National Branding – Members have the ability to make the national award-winning Meals on Wheels brand their very own and showcase their affiliation with this powerful movement. We’ve even created the tools and support to help you through the rebranding process.

LEARN AND GROW

  • Meals on Wheels Leadership Academy – We offer a robust curriculum – online, on-demand and in-person – designed specifically to meet the needs of leadership and staff of senior nutrition programs. Learn more about advancing your career and your program by earning a Leadership Certificate today!
  • Information to Keep Members Current – We work diligently to keep Members informed of industry insights, innovative practices, legislative developments and national initiatives so that they can stay focused on running their programs.
  • National Resource Center on Nutrition and Aging (NRCNA) – Meals on Wheels America is proud to be the host of this free, online comprehensive resource in partnership with the Administration for Community Living.
