ARLINGTON, Va., July 31, 2025 – Meals on Wheels America is proud to share that our President and CEO, Ellie Hollander, has been named on Forbes’ fifth annual “50 Over 50” list in the Impact category.
Since 2013, Ellie has played a pivotal role in advancing Meals on Wheels America’s work in addressing the needs of today’s seniors and reshaping how our country views and values aging. In her role, she champions a national network of roughly 5,000 community-based senior nutrition providers that serves more than two million older adults annually.
Under her direction, the national leadership organization has undergone many significant transformational changes. This includes redefining its vision and mission, initiating a national rebrand, modernizing its infrastructure and systems, pursuing groundbreaking research and establishing a bold plan to End the Wait™. Each initiative was designed to more comprehensively support the nationwide Meals on Wheels network committed to assuring the health, safety and independence of America’s seniors.
At Meals on Wheels America, there’s one core belief that drives everything the organization does: that all seniors deserve to age with dignity. That belief fuels Ellie’s leadership every single day – and it’s even more urgent than ever, as senior hunger and isolation continue to rise at alarming rates.
