Lisa is President and CEO of Meals on Wheels Western Michigan (MOWWM), one of Michigan’s largest independent senior nutrition programs. A native of Kalkaska, MI, Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree in foods and nutrition with a Business minor from Michigan State University. Lisa began her journey in the aging network at the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan (AAAWM) where she administered the 9-county area of nutrition program contracts. She helped establish two new programs during her 12 years at AAAWM. She joined MOWWM in 2009 as a director where she led the efforts to adopt the Meals on Wheels brand and started a choice program for the home-delivered meals program. Lisa strongly believes in the dignity of choice and person-centered services. Lisa also earned the Meals on Wheels America leadership certificate and board certification through the Johnson Center for Philanthropy. Lisa was promoted to President and CEO in June of 2020 and continues to evolve programs and services for older adults. Lisa has served as past president of The Michigan Association of Nutrition and Aging Service Programs, Co-Chair of Heart of West Michigan United Way basic needs investment council, National Emergency Food and Shelter Board, Allegan County Commission on Aging, and the Michigan Directors of Services to the Aging. Lisa also serves on the Meals on Wheels America medically tailored and culturally tailored meals advisory committees.
