Affiliated with Meals On Wheels America, the Meals On Wheels Association of Georgia is a non-profit statewide network of senior nutrition providers allied in passion to end senior hunger. MOWAG was created to strengthen communication between nutrition programs and enhance knowledge of topical issues within the aging population. The Meals On Wheels Association of Georgia (MOWAG) strives to fulfill the national goals set forth by Meals on Wheels America on a statewide basis. We are an organization on the move and invite all Meals on Wheels providers across Georgia for membership.

MEMBERSHIP

Memberships are open to non-profit providers of home delivered or congregate meals based in Georgia. Membership information will be made available soon.

COMMITTEES DEDICATED TO ACTION

Presently there are four active committees that summarize the current goals of the organization.

  • Annual Conference/Events coordinates MOWAG’s annual conference and involvement with other statewide events.

  • Outreach and Membership identifies other non-profit meal providers and invites participation in the MOWAG.
  • Advocacy focuses on raising statewide and local awareness for home delivered meals and nutrition.

  • Corporate Development/Sponsorships identifies and seeks to build relationships with prospective corporate donors to support the work of the MOWAG.
