PLANNING YOUR 2018 CONFERENCE EXPERIENCE WITH THE END IN MIND

THURSDAY, AUGUST 9, 2018 AT 3:30 P.M. EDT

Are you excited to take advantage of all that the 2018 Meals on Wheels Annual Conference and Expo has to offer? With three days packed with relevant sessions, keynotes and networking events, it can be hard to decide how best to spend your time or what areas could make the biggest difference for your program. Join Kevin Monroe of XFactor Consulting for a planning webinar designed to help you apply what Stephen Covey popularized with the phrase “begin with the end in mind,” the second of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This webinar will enable you to assess where your program is at this moment and what key wisdom, insights or skills you need to focus on during your time in Charlotte in order strengthen your competitive edge, engage in healthcare partnerships, or take your program to the next level.

On Thursday, August 30 at 9:15 a.m., Kevin will be leading an interactive Concurrent Session to go one step further by helping you to develop an action plan to accomplish the strategic breakthrough you need.

HOW TO BE A SUCCESSFUL GRANT WRITER USING STORIES AND ARGUMENTS

THURSDAY, AUGUST 16, 2018 AT 3:30 P.M. EDT

Do you want your grant application to stand out for all the right reasons? It’s important to remember that the evaluator, regardless of the agency or organization granting the funds, is an individual with feelings and a desire to improve the world. While well-composed stories can help to draw them in, clear and compelling evidence is also required to warrant a grantor’s investment. That’s where arguments come in. When done correctly, arguments provide all of the information that an evaluator requires to understand the need, your plan to address it and how their funding will be used effectively. Join Dr. Linda Wastyn of Wastyn & Associates to learn how to pull these two ideas together – storytelling and using arguments – to submit stronger applications that result in revenue to support your mission.

This webinar will help prepare you for Linda’s three-hour Intensive Workshop – The Nitty Gritty of Advanced Grant Writing – during the 2018 Meals on Wheels Annual Conference on Wednesday, August 29 at 8:30 a.m. There will also be a post-Conference follow-up webinar. Attending all three is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged.
